The Eye of Providence, floating in the dark.

How it floats
Magnets, light and a little mystery
Magnetic levitation
A levitation module hidden in the top of the pyramid holds the capstone in the air with an electromagnetic field. Give it a gentle push and it turns slowly while it floats.
Lit from below
Four LEDs tucked inside the pyramid shine up into the capstone, so the eye glows and a band of light fills the gap underneath.
Glows in the dark
The capstone is printed in glow-in-the-dark filament. It soaks up light during the day and keeps a soft glow after the room goes dark.
From the dollar bill
Every detail of the Great Seal
The pyramid follows the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States, as printed on every one-dollar bill since 1935.
- 13 courses
- Thirteen rows of brick, one for each of the original colonies.
- MDCCLXXVI
- 1776 in Roman numerals, carved into the base just like the seal.
- The Eye
- The Eye of Providence on all four faces of the capstone, with engraved lines arcing around it like the banknote.
- Unfinished
- A flat-topped pyramid, left unfinished on the seal and often read as a nation still being built. Here the capstone hovers above it.

Questions
Before you buy
When can I buy one?
Not quite yet. The first pyramids are being made now. Reserve one with your email and you'll hear from us first when they're ready to order. Reserving is free and you can decide then.
Does the capstone really float?
Yes. Nothing holds it up but the magnetic field from the module inside the pyramid. It hovers above the top and can turn slowly on its own axis.
Is it hard to set up?
Plug it in, then lower the capstone slowly over the center of the pyramid until you feel it find its balance point, and let go. It takes a little practice the first time. The included card walks you through it.
How do I turn it off?
Lift the capstone off first, then unplug the pyramid. If you unplug it while the capstone is floating, the magnets will pull the capstone down onto the pyramid.
How long does the glow last?
The capstone glows brightest right after it has been in light and fades gradually in the dark. The LEDs keep it lit whenever the pyramid is plugged in.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
It is a display piece, not a toy. The capstone and the base contain strong magnets. Keep them away from pacemakers and other medical implants, credit cards and hard drives, and out of reach of small children.
